John Lawrence Kruk grew up in Ivanhoe, Minnesota, and graduated from Ivanhoe Public School in 1983. He continued his education at Saint Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minnesota, where he studied business administration and teaching, graduating in 1988. John married his high school sweetheart, Lori Halling on July 2, 1988, in Tyler, Minnesota, at St. Dionysius Catholic Church. Their marriage was a special partnership, and they were the best match for each other. John and his wife, Lori, shared a love of family, holidays, travel, and making memories together. Together they moved to Marietta, Minnesota, where John pursued a teaching opportunity. They later relocated to the Twin Cities area, where they continued to reside.

Joyce L. Vlaminck, age 71, of Marshall, MN, passed away Monday, August 3, 2026 at the Hendricks Nursing Home in Hendricks, MN. Memorial service will be 2 pm Friday, August 7, 2026, at the Houseman Funeral Home, Birk Chapel in Canby, MN with visitation one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be in the St. John Cantius Catholic Cemetery, Wilno, MN.

Sandra Scholten, age 79, of Ivanhoe, MN passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2026 at Sylvan Court Nursing Home in Canby, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am on Monday, August 10th Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Ivanhoe, MN. Visitation will be held from 4 to 6pm on Sunday, August 9th at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Ivanhoe, MN with a prayer service at 6pm. Visitation will resume one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at the Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery in Ivanhoe, MN. Houseman Funeral Home-Birk Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Brian Carl Marten passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 23, 2026, at the age of 61 years and 9 months and 19 days from a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00am on Saturday, August 1st at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Ivanhoe, MN. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7pm on Friday, July 31st at the Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Ivanhoe, MN with a prayer service at 7pm and rosary to follow. Visitation will resume one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at the Ss.
